How this PDF rotation tool works

Upload a PDF, choose whether to rotate all pages or select specific pages, pick the rotation angle, and click Rotate. pdf-lib reads each page, applies the rotation, and outputs a new PDF file. The rotation is permanent in the output file — the viewer's temporary rotation setting is not used. Nothing is uploaded to a server.

When would you use this?

Is the rotation permanent?

Yes — the output PDF has the rotation baked in, so it appears correctly in all PDF viewers without needing to manually rotate the view. This is different from the "rotate view" option in Adobe Reader, which only affects how you see the file, not the file itself.

Does rotating affect the content or quality?

No — rotation is a geometric transformation applied to the page. Text, images, and formatting are unchanged. There is no re-encoding or quality loss.

Do you store or see my document?

No. Rotation happens entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Your PDF is never uploaded anywhere.

Can I rotate just one page?

Yes — switch to "Selected pages" mode and click only the pages you want to rotate. Pages you do not select keep their original orientation.
